Life According to Jim TV show

On the Christmas special tonight (12/14/04), a Maverick was featured prominately in the story line!!!! I was watching the show...but not really paying attention. My son says, "Hey Dad....there's a Maverick!" Being 11....I am used to him seeing almost any classic car and calling it a Maverick. I look up...and low and behold.....a Maverick right there on the TV show!!! A guy in a Maverick backs up and hits "Jim" in his mini-van. Jim gets out...and they have a discussion about the accident. The entire time they are standing (and filming) right by the Maverick. It was a red 2-door Maverick, big bumpers, LDO trim...but red bench seat interior. Slightly faded paint. Later on in the show....they film a scene with Jim in the back seat and the older gentleman behind the wheel. Very cool!! Maybe you west coast folks can catch it tonight on ABC. When this show goes to syndication....we will see it every year around Christmas time. The Maverick will live on forever in syndication!!!

I saw it,too I have a tvo so I stopped it and re ran it, on my tv the car kinda looked redish orange, had skinny white wall tires with black wheels ,no hubcaps. I was afraid they were going to trash it but it made it through the show, when Jim stoled the distribiter cap I froze it and counted a least 7 long plug wires so it must have been a V8

 

I am so bummed! I missed it. I usually watch that show too, but ended up working late in the garage last night. I hope it shows up again when the show goes into reruns.

 

Hey guys... I have never heard of this show. When is it on??? East coaster here (Washington DC) and have direct tv.

Seen it to last night was going to get on board and post when the show was over but feel asleep in my chair instead was cool to see a Mav. on a new TV show.

 

I missed it, and I normally watch the show but my son had a Scout meeting last night. According to the episode guide it was a department store Santa that was driving the Maverick

I can relate to that!

I recall many nights watching the news waiting for the weather, then waking up to Letterman talking.

 

Saw it too, forgot to post at 4.00am. Just like my drag racing, got beat again. Good job by everyone who spotted it.

 

I saw it, wife records it (tivo is the best) I think the Maverick stole the show.

I reactivated my online identity just to get in on this.
It was a red 4dr with big bumpers and the Ldo package.
strange, it had the dog dish hub caps and red painted wheels.

 

Nope.........it was a 2-door

 

This episode is ON RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

 

Well ... I missed it if it was in the first 15 minutes ..
