Is there body gap specs for a Maverick? I know on Camaro's it is 1/4" to 3/8". Adjusting everything right now so I am hoping for a quick answer. Thanks
I'm very proud of the gaps on my car. I have some factory build manuals at home .. I'll see if a gap is listed.
Amen. When I look at my Fusion and the panel fits and then look at my Maverick, you can really see how the bar has moved over the years.
Yep, that is something I strive for on my restorations, as near perfect gaps and seams as possible, also love some straight, polished to a mirror image, stainless trim, mmm.
When we did my Green car, we tried to keep it as close to factory as we could, since the car had never been apart, and was still in original paint. In the 70's quality wasn't what it is today.
Here is the door to body specs from the shop manual http://www.1bad6t.com/Maverick/repair/clearance.html
What is the distance between the back of the hood and the cowl? I have a gap of 3/8" and it barely clears the cowl. The gap seems to big but I wanted to check with what some of you have. Thanks
Shop manual doesn't give any numbers...just says Adjust hood for an even fit between the fenders and for a flush fit with the front of the fenders. Adjust hood for a flush fit with the top of the cowl and fenders. Adjust the hood latch
