I am using an A/C delete power steering pump relocator, and need these two bolts that are the correct size to go through the water pump and yet have extra threads on top for the A/C delete bracket to be nutted up to.

I have the two bolts labeled with HERE in the attached picture.

I remember having some like that on my 80 Thunderbird with a 302 as well as my 87 F250 with a 351HO. They sure are a pain when the stud comes loose before the top nut comes off. Best bet is scrounging through a salvage yard.

I would prefer new. Not really in the mood to scrounge parts yards for 2-$2 bolts.

You should be able to slip a wrench behind the bracket to catch the hex prior to taking off the top nut.

Currently, I have three washers jammed behind the bracket on each bolt, works, looks like crap. And one of the bolts only has about 3 threads into the block, which I don't like at all.

So they are too long? or too short?

Thanks for the link(s)!!! I am sure I can find what I need in there.

Dave, they are the correct size, but there is a space between the front face of the water pump and the rear face of the p/s bracket. So currently I am using three washers to fill in that space and running a regular bolt through them all.

On the longest one, I had to buy a longer bolt and cut half the threads off otherwise it would bottom out before it was fully seated.

I just figured I would be better off in the long run if I bought the correct bolts and didn't have a mis-match set and a bunch of washers.

It'll be tough to find exactly what you need, like that new.

I was hoping not. Stock 5.0 block, stock 5.0 water pump, and the P/S relocation kit is pretty common.

I put new water pump in and have everything torqued down. I want to wait until the sealant cures.

Maybe tomorrow if I get home at a decent time, I can pull those two bolts and measure them.

    THanks a bunch!

I just threw two of those bolts away with the bracket off of my 302 I pulled from my mustang. I didnt need them, and didnt want to move them. I'd go run to the dumpster I threw them in, but that was last week and they're long gone :/

wouldnt you be able to take the bolt to a hardware store, and if the length was to long cut it and rethread the end?

I've used a web based company called Drill Spot for some of my bolts purchased so far (y)

I'd use threaded rod. Cut to length needed, use nuts where needed, problem solved.

You can get grade 5 all thread from Ace Hardware. I'm sure others will carry it too. :)
