Hello! First post! So I have a 74 Mav with the 302 in it. I took the engine apart to freshen it up and pain the heads and intake, and stupidly forgot to label where all the vacuum wire go. I have searched through the internet to find a good diagram, but it has proved fruitless. My questions is if anyone can take some pictures of their 302 vacuum hoses so i can sees it, or if there are any Mav owners in the DFW area who may be able to give some assistance.

    Thanks!

    Hello! and welcome!

There are so many different vacuum emission styles on the 74' engines...so if I have this wrong....I apologize.
    * It might help if you post whether you have auto tranny or manual, and if you happen to have an original California car...your VIN sticker should tell that.

I live in Carrollton and have a 75 Maverick with a 302 if you still need to take a look.

THANK! CACTUSGRABBER! Utterly amazing. It is a auto tranny, non Cali car. I think a lot of my issues at this point are from a different carburetor. I am going to switch it back to the stock Motorcraft and be done with it. Thanks for all you help, and if I need to, I will come up to Carrollton. Mavericks boards are so much nicer than Mustang boards! you guys ROCK!:yahoo:

yep.. yet another reason why I chose to pass on all those "5.0 killer deals" and stay on target for building one of these cars. The owners are generally much more humble and down to earth.

Plus.. you'll only see one Maverick or Comet to every thousand Mustangs you run across. Bonus. ;)

I actually own a 5.0 Mustang also. Every board is just people calling names and offering no help except to say just put on your car what I put on my car... if you don't, you are stupid. I do get waaaayyyyy more excited to see someone with a Maverick or Comet than a dime-a-dozen 'Stang. I'll post some pics up soon of the Mav for all to see.
