That was an interesting segment, thanks for he share. I may or may not agree with their points of view but I did find it intertaining.

 

Yes, they definitely should.

 

They came right out and said that the Mavericks/Comets need work to be brought up to muscle car standards. They were/are not factory muscle cars, and that's just a fact, whether anyone likes it or not. As most of us know, it's easy to make them perform with the muscle cars, and look good too.

Yeah by that time they were relegated to "family" car status, the sporty crowd had gravitated back to the Mustang, or were buying 2dr Novas...

 

I've never really been a big fan of the 4-doors personally, but the Gapp & Roush Tijuana Taxi 4-door pretty much laid the smack down in Pro Stock in the early days! To each his own...and more power to anyone with whatever and however they decide to build their own little slice of hot roddom.

 

Back "in the day" you wouldn't be caught dead in a 4 door or a station wagon because at that time 2 door cars were easily available and also the coolest - today the 4 door car dominates the roads and what is common today is what becomes popular - whoever thought that they would ever see a 4 door Charger

 

There is a reason that the GTO, 4-4-2, Javelin/AMX, Camaro, Mustang, Gran Sport/GSX, Barracuda, Road Runner, Challenger, Corvette, Porsche, Ferarri, Lamborghini, don't have 4 doors. And it's not because they forgot to include such a "cool" feature.

But yes, because the 2-door classics have become less available at an affordable price, people are getting 4-doors.

 

I took that to be the video host's point: Can't afford the 2-door version of car X....then buy the 4-door version of car X and at least get started in the hobby.

Makes sense to me.

I've never had any interest in any 4dr car from the 60s & 70s till I saw a 427/425hp Galaxie police car that was special ordered. That's a 4dr I'd own.

 

I dont see it. Looks more like a Mustang II mated with a Datsun 240z to me. LOL

 

I can see the Z car, but that nose is '67-'68 Stang...
