Oops, yea I mispoke. Sry, I was in a rush when I posted lol. It's the cable coming from the negative battery terminal. Kinda wondering what would cause it to do that tho... It was a brand new cable with less than 300 miles on it.
You can get a bad "new" cable! The thing I would check is that you're not using a bolt that bottoms out before it tightens down on the cable. Try putting the bolt into the head without the cable and make sure there is no space between the bolt head and the cylinder head when it is tight. If the cable terminal is not tight between the bolt and the head, you will have a bad connection that will ultimately burn the cable terminal.
I'll have to check on that. The cable and bolt are tight as... well, very tight lol. They're not going anywhere. But with the washer I have on there, it might be tightening down to a fatter part of the cable and the flat end still might be loose inside there. Thanks for the brainstorming
