If you want to get tires that large inside your fender wells, then go w/ a 24in center frame. Then you can put massive tubs in the car & have all the room you need. This is standard procedure for most chassis set ups on drag cars.My car is backed halfed set up w/ frame in the stock location & a complete Moser rear. The biggest slick I can use is a 13in on 12in wheel w/ a 51/2in back spacing. These cars are light & I can`t see needing anymore tire than that even though I`ve seen 14 x 32s on some Mavericks.

I am in the process of backhalfing my 74 Maverick. The rear frame rails are 28" outside to outside, the 9" housing is 43" wheel flange to wheel flange, and the tires are Hoosier 32X14.5W slicks that have 15" contact patch. The rims ate 14" with 4.5" backspace. If you look at one of your previous threads you will also see pictures I posted in addition to the ones I have posted here.

Nice job on the rear frame rails - they blend in nicely :thumbs2:
