I found a 76 2dr I-6 c-4 ,car runs but needs a new carb and gas tank cleaned out all original light blue exterior blue interior front seat busted up ,slittle rust in driver side quarter but not to bad guywants 650.00 is it worth it or should I try to bid him down
in california cars in the condition youve mentioned go for around $3-$500 so offer him $350 and see where you can come together just go there with $500 total in your pocket IM sure youll come home with it. do you have smog laws in alabama? pour a gallon of water in front of the windshield down the vent and see if water goes inside the car if it does its more of a parts car as the cowl will be rotted out and is a major repair
paid 500 for mine, got a new tank and rebuilt the carb and she was running well. did afew smaller things and she was a driver. this was 4 weeks ago. got a lot more to go in as its goign to be very modded but i have a driver for under 850. we initially looked at it as a parts car for my wifes 72 but was too straight to cut up. except for the minor scrape ont eh pass door shes straight. and has 40,800 on it. (seriously) bet yours is the twin to mine: (and yes, 250 6 and c4)
My father had a '68 Ford F250, 360 4spd the exact same color. May as well had white as it was never clean. Come to think of it, I don't ever remember him washing it one time. I do remember him hitting third gear, hitting a bump and off of the tailgate my mother and I bounced... Good thing it was a dirt road or scrapes would have been road rash. I also remember he never even stopped, so it was good we were near home when it happened. [/QUOTE]
