already started to tear it apart, and Ill let you know what it is...I do have a clutch cable setup on it too but im guessing the bushing on the clutch pedal is already going out on it too...oh the luxurys of having a hot rod as a daily
So after tearing it all apart and nothing was wrong inside,I put it all back together and it still did the same thing. so I took off the cable and that was the problem I cant even pull the cable in or out at all so I need to get another one now. Only question is would that be common for something just to go out like that? oh and also whats the difference on cables anyways? i have the mustang steve cable and its a 1996-2000 kind. and his are 60 dollars and when I look on ebay there like 35
In my limited experience with clutch cables used with fairly stiff pressure plates, they are a PITA... At approx one year, the one on my 5.0 Stang would get so stiff it'd bust the ratcheting auto adj mechanism if not changed ASAP... The cables on the two 4cyl Stangs the kids had never gave a bit of trouble... Both went around another 100K mi and were used when we bought them....
