does anyone know of any aftermarket throttle linkages/cables(302) that will work, not popping apart or fraying is what I mean by work anything from the parts stores don't last long at all, the 75' throttle linkage I have hooked up is too long and may end up binding after awhile. also would anyone know where I can get a replacement flat hood other than UP22, I was going to get one from them but after hearing more about how there stuff is hit or miss I have changed my mind, I want flat because I'm thinking about running a functional 429 scoop on it. any links you guys may find post them or pm them to me, anything will be helpful :Handshake

Lokar are highly rated, but as a FYI a '71/'72 V8 Maverick used a 21" throttle cable and is Pt No D1DZ-9A758-E... After 7/31/72, D3DZ-9A758-B is number and also listed as 21" but I don't know what the difference would be...

Mustang V8 are 23.75 at the shortest, but '71/'72 Torinos are in the 21 to 21.5" range, of course where it mounts to the firewall vs length to carb could make or break it's use... a D1OZ-9A758-G is 21.5" while D2OZ-9A758-A is 21"...

If it helps, I can measure my orig to get length from engine retainer bracket to firewall...
