A friend of mine e-mailed these two pictures, showing a 72 Grabber that was for sale back in an "Old Car Book" advertisement from May 1992. This car was built really nice, especially for back in the day (so to speak).

Global West Suspension was a big ticket item! A nine-inch, chin spoiler, Magnums and Deltron red paint!

I wonder if anyone knows this car??? I would imagine it would be easy to identify if it still had the Global West Suspension and the few other options/mods it had.

I used to cut those ads out and paste them to a piece of paper. I probably have 10 sheets of paper with those glues on there....front and back.

We have been camping for 18years and I keep an ole wheeler dealer or something in the campers and sometimes when camping and its raining or no ones around I get them out and read them like they were brand new.

    The ORIGINAL "Copy and Paste"!

The phone number is still valid and matches a company called "Magic Buttoner". I got the owner's name and found them on FB. On the off-chance that the phone number stayed the same all these years, I sent them a short message asking if this was their car (I can't help myself).

I was impressed with the modifications that were made, for the period. That was posted for sale over a year before I bought my first Maverick.

I actually flew out to IL and bought that car!! I brought it to the first MCCI nationals. I lived in NY when I bought it. I then moved to Georgia and had it painted Chrome Yellow (can't find that picture) ... and eventually sold to a buyer in Texas back in 1999 before my son was born.

It was a really nice car. Too much chrome in the Engine Compartment for my current tastes. When I restored my 71 I vowed to make it nicer than this 72 was.

Yes .. it had tubular A-arms, 9" rear, MSD ignition also had Chrome RollBar.
