Floor Shifter linkage question

    Im trying to hook up my shifter linkage but it wont reach i can only shift into 1,2,D and thats all i dont think i can slide the trans back any further the linkage came off my 75 comet 250 inline 6 and now i swapped to a 302 is their 6 cyl linkages and v8 linkages or are they all the same.

    The linkage should be the same. Adjust the linkage with the trams and shifter in the neutral position.

    Is the tranny the same as the one you ran before with the floor shift 6? If not, is it from a column shift car? If so, did you remove, rotate 180 degrees, and reinstall the shift lever on the tranny?

    The tranny is the same 1 i ran with the 6 only thing different is the engine

    No i have not put in a shift kit the linkage just seems to be to short. Can anyone tell me how to adjust it

    You have done something wrong/different as it should hook right back up.
