    1 3/4" headers

People may already know about this but I found a company that has custom 1 3/4 inch headers for Mavericks. He charges $480 and they can be used with any type of head, like raised exhaust port heads such as AFR 205's, etc. He's in the Mustang mags and is located in Corona, CA. Apparently they don't require any mods. Maybe easier to install than the 1 3/4 inch Hookers.

I found the number: 909-483-3893 and the company is RCI.

JBA said it will not work. Talked with them last year. Someone there said the header will hit the firewall before turning downward. He said something about the engine is not in the exact location on both cars. One sit forward a little more than the other but I can't remember witch one, the mustang or the maverick. But I don't know if they know this for sure. I only go by what the members here say, they would know more about our cars.

I talked to RCI. Good news is he is gonna to make me a set at no charge to see if they fit. Bad news is expect at least a month before I see them. He was very nice and very interested in making these available. He redid a set of 15/8 to 13/4 and the guy he sent them to claimed they fit, but he could not guarantee it. I will be working with this guy, if they do not fit I will redo them(built headers before and lots of custom exhaust;) ) He will put them in production once they fit

How would you know if your set up would be better with 1 3/4 or 1 5/8?

A well built stroker 302 would need them. A very radical 302 could use them. If you are spinning below 6500rpm I wouldn't be concerned. I do not need them for my car. My brothers 331 stroker does.

    These are the JBAs.
I can tell you right now that they will not fit a standard tranny. Or a column shift for that matter.
