1973 fac. alum. slot rims and wheel caps.

    I have 4 wheel caps for the 1973 factory alum. slot rims.
    I see the rims come as 14 x 6.
    Does anyone know if i can get bigger and wider?
    I'm thinking 17X8 and 17x10 for the back.
    The idea is to use the wheel caps that I have.
    Would it be as simple as drilling screw holes to mount them on a new set of rims?
    has anyone done this?
    how does it look?

    i believe america racing makes the slotted wheels,check out there website:hmmm:
