Wouldn't it be easier to just drill holes in the inner wheel wells to make spark plug changing easier for the Windsor motors instead of cutting the shock towers back?
I don't think that you can gain access through the inner wheel wells. The shaving of the wheel wells also provides a bit of clearance for air circulation around the sides of the engine.
Yep, I am old and don't type as fast as my brain goes. Sometimes I wonder where my brain goes too..........
Thanks for your support Don.... All that rain just keeps the webs between my toes moist so they don't crack! You can always tell when it is summer in Seattle - the rain is warmer.
I remember when I worked at Bell Plaza on 7th Street. I rode the MC to work in the pouring rain and was taking off my helmet and rainsuit. I had a Goldwing at the time. Some women walked by and told me I was crazy. She was sopping wet and I didn't have a drop on me. People in Seattle don't tan, they rust!!! Seattle rain Festival--January 1st to December 31st. I remember when i moved to Az. one of the things I had to get used to was doing stuff in the sunshine.
I loved living in the Seattle area. I actually lived up on the hill in Kent, and we had to move because of Boeing laying everyone off. But the area was great, weather was wonderful. I would go back in a second if given the chance.
I actually lived across the Sound in Port Orchard and took the ferry to Seattle. Nice really, But I wouldn't give up what I've got here.
I have a friend who is buying property in Golden Valley, AZ. He moved after retiring so that he could get away from the moisture, mold and dark. The webs between his toes is all cracked and peeling!
