4.6/aode swap

    What would it take to put a 4.6l and aode trans in a maverick? Does anyone know if this has been done I have a 4.6l mustang GT engine and trans with computer , Just wondering:dancing:

    It has probably been done. Most likely needs an MII front suspension to clear space. That is a pretty wide motor, and a fairly small engine bay.

    I would like to hear some chime-in and see some pics of the finished product.

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Modmav is doing one... with a 6 speed??? I think.
    Definitely have to do the MII front end though.

    Mustang II front end, possibly transmission tunnel modifications, probably drive shaft modified, wiring, fuel lines, high pressure fuel pump, headers?

    It is just as easy as installing a 429 or 460 in your Maverick...
    with less than half the torque!
