hey again, having this problem with my 69.5 maverick.first thing that happened was the directionals stopped working,bought a flasher but found the four pin, connector from column mounted directional switch when wiggled the directional worked.so then 5 starts later the starter solenoid would buzz and the car wouldn't start.so I moved the connector from column again with no change, so swapped the solenoid,same,then took starter out bench tested, wouldn't turn,replaced.starts now and wont shut off.so suspecting the alternator was backfeeding so unhooked and started and shut off 4 times then wouldnt shut off.sooooo......keyswitch?directional switch,or just wiring.oh yeah this car has a dash mounted keyswitch.the 4 pin connector looks perfect with no corrosion. help please
I would say solenoid, mine did it with a brand new one, I wacked it with a screwdriver and it worked, went to another parts house and got a different brand, been working fine since.
