hello again im in the process of collecting the parts to
    convert my 170 i6 c4 to a 302 and a t10 4 speed.i just picked
    up a 68 302 super clean,and a 65 borg warner t10 close ratio.
so a few questions... the longer speedo cable needed for the
4 speed swap what do you use?and second what shifter will
fit the maverick the best a mustang or falcon shifter.i have the
stock 65 mustang shifter and linkage but I think I read somewhere
aftermarket hurst ones fit without tunnel extension.any insight would
    be appreciated

The T10s had different length tailshafts. The Falcon has a shorter shaft than the Mustang and the shifter mounts about 4 inches farther forward. The falcon crossmember mount is also different. I would get a hurst shifter with the appropriate adapter and linkage.

You will want to use the mustang shifter or Hurst equivalent and I used a 70 Mustang manual speedo cable on my car (it's a couple inches longer).

Absolutely, that's what the forums all about.
