Does anyone know of a simple way to remove the three stainless steel grille mouldings. I have a good grill with no stainless and a donor grill that is shot except for the stainless.Would like to remove stainless and put on good grill. Also the rear taillights for this car (with backup lens) , I have two different size backup lens, one small and one large. Which is correct?
Help I hope that you figure out the strips issue. The '72 should have the smaller backup lights. Note the date number in the corner. Does yours say...for example-'70MO' or '71CT' or '73CT' etc.? Seth
That's because... ...the first Comet tailights that found their way onto to cars were leftover '70/'71 Montego taillights -'70MO' = Montego. Thanks, Seth
Taillights/ grill I have three sets of 75 CT code, one set of 73 CT code (NOS) all have the larger backup light. I have one set of 70 MO (small backup light) but the chrome is no good.Need to find someone who wants to swap a NOS set of 72 for the 73 I have. I got the stainless mouldings off of my grill with a heat gun. What a job. The 72 GT grill is different . It has plastic catches to hold the mouldings in. Can not use a standard grill to hold the mouldings.
