8" posi swap

    1974 mercury comet
    Will an 8" posi center section fit in a normal 8" housing in a '74 comet? Or will I need to get a new housing or rear end? I will be changing gears at some point and I would like to make it a posi. I was thinking 3.73 gears or around there for just using the car around town and occasionally on the highway
