I just added another car to my mix today. It is a 1970 250 six with power steering. This car has only 42,440 original miles on it. The floor pans are perfect the trunk looks like it has only been opened a few times. The bumpers are perfectly straight. This is a clean car. It runs very smooth. I am flying high today. I am only the third owner. The only negative is the cowls do leak. It will be parked under a cover until I get around to having the cowls fixed. I will be restoring this for my 8 year old but the carpet has already been replaced and the front seat was recovered. It needs paint, but it could be driven as a daily almost immediately. It needs a little rear brake work. here are some pics!:thumbs2::thumbs2: Oh and it came with a console :dancing:

    Very nice car.

You got me to thinking. Let's do some math. Car is 42 years old. Future driver is 8 years old. By the time the future owner turns 16, car will be 50 years old. If I would have followed the same scenario, that means when I turned 16 back in 1982, I could have been driving around listening to the Go-Go's driving a 1932 Ford.

Too much math for a Sunday morning. :D

Gawd, I'd have been driving a horse and buggy, well a '16 Model T for sure... Wouldn't have been listing to anything, radio wasn't yet around on a commercial basis, cars didn't get radios till sometime in the late '20s...

Wayne talked about doing something with the car at our 2nd Texas mini-meet in 2001. Never got around to it obviously. He had said it was nice. I'm glad it is in good hands.

    Congrats!!

Yes they are. The 1970's (and only the 1970's) had a drop in gas tank.
