    Hi!
I have my 74 Maverick without A/C... It has a 6Cyl automatic. I want to add an aftermarket underdash unit and can't find one, i am probibly just looking in the wrong places. Does anyone make a complete kit, i prefer a simple underdash set up so i dont have to change any thing under the dash...
    Whats out there????
    Thank You!!!!

There were dealer add-on units for the earliest Mavs. Seen a couple for sale on eBay in the past year or so. Pretty sure that they were for the cars with the package shelf (up to 73).

Those or add-on Mustang units probably could be adapted.

You might have to watch out for interference with the glovebox opening, might prevent the door from opening all the way.

Not sure if add-ons were made for the later dashes, but it is possible. If so, someone here will know ... (y)

I don't know that anyone makes a unit Specifically for a Maverick other than the old ones from back in the 70's but there are definetly under the dash units that should work

According to others on this forum it was a dealer installed unit. That's a 74' LDO in Atlanta though, not my car. Probably be hard to find a complete unit these days.
