When I hit the gas in my 75 Comet, it doesn't seem to accelerate nearly at all, but just gradually increases, I have to keep it floored at nearly all times. It cranks of the first time, but sounds as if it might be idleing a little lean. Any pointers in the right direction of diagnosing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

!st thing I'd check is the fuel filter. Then the fuel flow to the carb.:)

I'd look at the ignition timing and make sure the vacuum and mechanical advances are working.
