What company sells a good aftermarket A/C system for my 74 Comet or do I just need to insulate the car?

If you have factory air, after this many years the system is probably not as tight as it once was. Have you had the system pumped down and charged correctly? Also, old blower motors tend to really slow down, affecting the air they move I can still get old systems to blow pretty cold with some tlc.

There is a company called VINTAGE AIR that should to be able to add a/c to anything, for a price. Never dealt with them, buy they have been around a long time.
