I bought a caster/camber bubble gauge and made a set of turnplates, but where do I position the pivot point of the plates, in the center of the tire or at the inside of the tire where the ball joints are? :pub:

I've got a magnetic caster/camber gauge, have you test fit it yet? On mine, I had to take the wheels off and the dust caps. To do the alignment, I had to put blocks under the a-arms to mock the ride height and align it with the wheels off...

Even with steel wheels, I can't imagine it sticking flat enough to not wobble around (with the wheel hub area all bumpy). The one I have sets on the brake rotor hub which is very flat. You should have good luck with it, my "home alignment" went well and the test drive after was great...

My caster/camber gauge has two machined pins long enough to clear the hub, sits against the inside of the rim bead.
