axle ratio

    I have a 73 maverick with a #6 axle ratio code, does that mean it has a 3.20.1 open axle:drive:

    73 only was available with 3.00 or 2.79 gears.
    I don't know which is '6', but it's one of those 2.

    Oh, and 'open' was the only flavor of diff.

    69 1/2, 70 Maverick and 71 Grabber
    Code 6 means it left the factory with a 3.00 gear. And yes it will be an open carrier.

    code 3 is the 2.79 ratio
