Went to take out the rear out of the 77' granada, today at my cousins house and assumed it was a 8 inch rear, but no, it did not have the hogs head chunk, but a rear plate at the back. That sucks the big one!! So, I will have to keep looking. My next question is when I go back to get the front spindle and brake parts, should I also grab the upper A arms? Are the same as a maverick? I had a 70' ford Fairlane back in the mid 80's and I crossed over a rail road track and the whole left side collapsed, because of the A arm cracked and went to pieces, Its nice to have spares. Another supprise!! I towed the 70' maverick from my cousins house, its been sitting about 4 or 5 years in the woods and all this time thought it was a automatic because of the shifter column, but I found it was a 3 speed on the column!! Wooow!! Does not matter because I'am putting in a C-4 tranny. Side note to this Maverick is that it was built in Canada. Had a heck of time finding the fuse box, way up in the fire wall and behind the clutch pedal, which is got to go. Lucky for me,the owners or dealership under coating this car and floors boards are in great shape, just surface rust inside the compartment. I earlier posted where do I get a new gas tank assuming this one was rusted out, I'am in luck, pulled the rubber mat from the inside of trunk to reveil a shiney tank, the bottom is also shiney with under coating on it. Could be a replacement tank back in the day, when you could still get them new? or in really great shape? On the top of the tank has a big blue stamp of a triangle and the letters running through it: AMOO or AMCO its upside down and hard to make out the last two letters. Does anyone know what the means?
