Hi friends, the book about the history of the Maverick (US, Canada, Mexico and Brasil) is ready and can be ordered by the pwg@terra.com.br with the author Paul Gregson (me).

The price is US$ 50.00 (shipping included).
208 pages, writen in Portuguese and English, fully ilustrated (more than 80 pictures/images and tables).

    There is a brief about:

    MAVERICK
    An icon of the 1970´s.
The book tells the story of one of the greatest icons of Brazilian automotive industry. The author explores the course in detail of the Ford Maverick in Brazil and the world, from its emergence to the formation of its identity, besides its participation on the racetrack. This historical aspect is complemented by the detailed presentation in the marketing period that the national industry was passing through when the Maverick arrived in the country.
The numbers presented have been obtained through ample and unrestricted research in printed material, at the time, as also from interviews with owners of the vehicle, specialized clubs in antique cars, and persons linked to the section of automobilism, who participated in car racing in the 1970´s.
Studious and appreciator of antique cars vehicles, Paul Gregson aimed to supply an official register of the vehicle which obtained an enormous success in Brazil as well as Mexico, in Canada and principally, in the USA.
The historical focus and, at the same time, the richness of the technical information makes this book an obligatory source for consultation for those interested in antique automobilism and specially in mavericks. It is a reading which will also attract the layman, whose only interest would be exclusively to find quality information.

If anyone is interest, it´ll be a pleasure to share with you.

    Many thanks

    Paul Gregson

    Vin Number - Brasil

Hi friend, it´s easy to get this information: look at the VIN number of your car, if it starts with LB it means Brasil. If you need something else, please let me know. You can post here or send me an email at pwg@terra.com.br
