brake pad question for 73/74 Maverick

    This may be a very dumb question but hay I need some help so I am going to ask it anyway. This 73/74 Maverick rear end drum brake pads measure 1 3/4" but the drum measures 2" of pad surface. Can I just replace the 1 3/4" pads with 2" pads?
