!972 Maverick Grabber, Fully Loaded! RARE!
Someone just might have my answer!

Hi... my name is "Vamdab" and I have a 1972 Ford Maverick Grabber, With a Nasty 302, and a T10 Side loader (Built nice) W/a Hurst in-line 4 speed shifter. The Bell is actualy the Original one that came in the car. My Problem is, Nobody makes headers for a manual trans. So I still run manifolds and don't get everything that my motor has to offer. I need a Clutch set up to turn the manual "Z" bar setup into a hydraulic system so that I can run headers. Even if I could use headers with the Original, I would still like to get rid of it! It jumps out alot, Leaving me with no clutch. Thanks for your time! I hope Someone can give some good news.

I used Hooker 6901's. I am running a 302 with a toploader and manual z-bar. They fit great, no mods.

Hmmm, Vamdab. BadMav backwards. Several companies make headers for manual trans Mavs with the mechanical linkage. The clearance problems occur when you try to use a column shifter. Doesn't sound like you have that situation. I never had a problem with anything "jumping out". Something must not be installed correctly.

Hooker 6901's work fine with the factory z-bar setup .. lots of us here on the board use them ... including me ...

Count me in for the same set up. At one time I had a T10 and it takes less room than the toploader.
