i dont know anything about efi. i know a little bit about carb motors. im considering building a efi 302 because i may be getting a supercharger and innercooler for it and the supercharger only works on fuel injection. plus id like the ability to customize the computer and such. i plan to put the motor in a late 60s mustang. the set up will be a 86 302 with gt40p heads from an explorer, f303 cam, and other minor upgrades with a t5, also with the kenne bell supercharger and a innercooler. id like know what all parts differ from the carb to efi? and what all will have to be done to get the compression right for the supercharger?

If your doin a SC with IC you need some good pistons, Forged with lowerd rings. built bottom end and top end. Need a fuel pump, injectors THats if you have EFI and thats just to begin with

Yes. They will work then. You might also want to look into a new oil pump with the supercharger. Also if i remember correctly. Kenne Bell only make superchargers for Modular motors. If your looking for a root style for your 302 i wish you good luck. I looked everywere for one.

Ok Kenne bell only make superchargers for Modular motors meaning the New style ford motors. and a 383 is a chevy motor.

its a 281 4.6 liter. thats a Roush twinscrew supercharger. very similar to a Kenne Bell just as efficent. and that wont fit on a 302. The intakes are to different and the length of the blocks are different.

also a stand alone might work for you. I dont know if it would work with a supercharger like it would with a turbo
