I had an alignment done on my 1972 Maverick and it glides straight as an arrow. However, I noted the front suspension strut rod bushings are compressed significantly different. I can find information on how to adjust castor, but nothing on how compressed the strut rod bushings should be. Is there any specification on how compressed the rubber bushings should be? (See below pictures for the differences I have). My thought, lacking anything else, is to make the loose one tighter by tightening each nut equally, thus not requiring a re-alignment and more $.

I thought the nut bottomed out on a spacer that passes through the bushing. I honestly can't remember what it looked like when I tore mine apart so I could be all wet.

Now that you all reminded me, I'm sure I tightened everything against the spacer. I suspect the alignment guy didn't understand and made some adjustments loosening the bushings verses moving them properly. I think I can recover by tightening them while monitoring the castor movement somehow.

    Thanks,
