I just got back from test and tune with some better 60ft times but still having some problems spinning. The car does not spin off the starting line but after 15 feet or so it begins to spin for a short period. I could feel it in the car and after I watched a video you could see the nose of the car take a dive and lift up again. Is the front end lifting to fast or maybe the rear lifting to slow causing some sort of bucking bronco effect? That is what it feels like in the car, a bucking bronco. I think I will try to slow down the front shock rebound next time. What are yall's thought's? thank's
What's happening usually is that when you initially launch, the front comes up but as the car travels forward and the front settles, it unloads the rear suspension. In this situation the front suspension separates too quickly and settles too quickly. You can remedy it with shock settings.... If you have adjustable shocks, slowing the rebound on the front will help. But, so will stiffening up the bump setting. On the rear, you can soften the bump and stiffen the rebound and this should help as well. That said, there may be other conditions affecting it too. Track prep (or lack thereof) is usually the culprit. Seems like VHT gets expensive and the track uses less & less of it so they only spray the first 25' or so. Make small changes at a time and record what affect the changes make.
