My first car, i have had it for 12 years.
does anyone know the approximate value of a 72 comet gt (factory gt) with bucket seats, floor shift, a/c, factory tinted glass, 302 (numbers match), plus much more. it is in good condition and all i have mentioned is from the factory. i would never sell it, but i am just curious. i will post some pictures when i can.

You good condition could mean somebodies elses excellent or another persons "peice of crap" ..

Need to see some pictures ...

Good to me would be 33 years of use not abuse ... no rust ... all interior and exterior parts intact. Original paint .. faded .. but original. Correct seats, shifter, steering wheel, etc ...

Unless the engine/tranny has been recently rebuilt mileage or even whether it is running or not doesn't really matter ... no rust is the biggie here for determining value ... engines and trannys are easily replaced and usually are.

If your car meets the description of my good then I'd say atleast $4,000 ... I wouldn't sell it for less ..

thanks for the info. it isnt original paint, it is original color though. no rust, south carolina car with 48,000 original miles. interior is all original except for the door panels which i took out of a maverick because they were like new. i saved the originals, but someone had repaired them with duct tape...need i say more. i was just curious about the price, the sentimental value of the car far outweigh what any sane person would pay.

Sounds like a nice car. How in the world did you get by your teenage years with a car like that and have no more miles on it than you do? lol
I can relate on the senimental part, my dad gave me his 71 F100 when I was 15. I am now 42 and would'nt sell it for any amount and it's just an old truck. I really put the miles on the poor thing when I was a teenager though. It's got over 300k on the body and frame now.

Man you must not have drove very much. I just turned 18 and have put 10,000+ miles on mine since May. :)
