Have a 1970 with a 200 I6 auto trans. Been fighting an annoying vibration in the car for a while now. Replaced brakes, wheel/axle bearings, new driveshaft/u-joints, Torque converter, wheels checked for imbalance/warpage. Only thing not checked/replaced yet is the flexplate. Auto trans has begun leaking on the garage floor since being parked for two years. Its driving me crazy. I have the original 3-speed manual trans out of my dad's old '71 170 I6 that I am thinking about using. It was a three on the tree setup. I would like to have it as a floor shift. Can anyone out there guide me in the right direction?

Also - Starters only last about 6 months to a year in this car. They start missing the ring gear off and on. (ring gear fixed to torque converter)
