Got hooked on and bought a 1972 Maverick Grabber in 1979. Had driven it over 100K miles before crashing it 1998. (Front Clip crunch only) Got luckly in 2000, and found a 1971 Grabber to donate a real clean front clip for the '72. (That 1971 grabber has gone to China, as scrap) That 1972 Grabber, with its 1971 Grabber front clip, is going back to its original second owner. Joined this site because I found an original / stock 1971 Grabber, and have started the process of R & R. Dont have any spare parts for sale. 1972 Orange Grabber (sold) 1971 Red Grabber (rust bucket from fenders back / scrapped in 2000) 1971 Yellow Grabber, in process of R & R.
Got any pics? I recently wrecked my '74 Grabber, prior to which was my daily driver for 7 months. Don't it just make you feel sick?
Welcome aboard! Wooooo, good to see more bay area people with Mavs! Where about are you located? I'm in Sebastopol. Sounds like you've got a good project. Any specifics on it now, and what mods, etc you want to do with it? If I can help or be of assistance in any way, let me know. -Corbin
Thank you for the welcomes. Will post some pics, in about a week. Plans so far, are for R & R front end suspension (drivers side upper ball joint is ready to dis-joint itself) and electronic the OEM distributor.
Here is my former '72 Mav Grabber with its '71 Mav Grabber nose, the crunched & removed '72 front end and the new '71 Mav Grabber. The '72 Mav Grabbers crunched parts are not available, sorry.
