Sorry this has taken some time, I guess custom stuff always has taken longer than I want. Anyways, I just recieved this one today. It is not a good piece, he sent it to me just for fitting and to see the layout and emblem. The Maverick emblem is very nice. Just in case you are wondering all the swirl that you see is the machining to the part, it is smooth but does have this look. I will get my own polished and I can get anybodys polished that wants it done but it will be more, these will come in more of a brushed finish.

It is hard to take a pic of the whole plate and get it close enough to see it so I took a one side shot.

I will try to fit this to a car as soon as possible. Mine doesn't have carpet and Johns is not factory carpet, so I'm looking fo a mav oc comet around here to use to test fit, maybe Donnie McGees car.

Those are specific to the 70 Mavs. (4 screw holes, and a little wider). Are you thinking about doing 71-77 ones also? (6 screws and narrower) Just curious...

I did the 70 because of the width. It just didn't look right when we laid up the later one. I looked at the door jam of a 72 and could see no difference and I know that the doors aren't any different so I/we (the machinist) thought it would look better in a wider plate where the emblem is larger.

I'm at work all night so sometimes I have a little time on my hands and sometimes they run us to death, the perks of being in maint. at a factory.:D That is what I was thinking about the holes, I figure whoever buys these isn't worried about stock appearence either.

I'm still in!!! I have a drill. As mentioned, the thickness is the only concern. Have you mounted it with carpet?
