driveshaft for toploader

    Still looking for my toploader. Got a straight 6 automatic in there now. But am going to soon replace it with a 302.

    Suppose I'm gonna need a new drive shaft, think I'm probably gonna hafta cut it down to size, what do you think?

    Original 72 Sprint Owner, 71 Comet GT, 57 Ranchwagon, 57 4 dr Wagon
    It will fit. I went from a 200/3 spd, to a 302/auto, to a 302/BW T10, to a 302 toploader. The original drive shaft fit them all.

    Same here, I have had the following combinations with the same drive shaft
    200 / C4
    289 / C4
    289 / Toploader

    I have to be different, mine worked until I installed a 9" rearend. Then it was a little long. Had a larger diameter driveshaft fabbed up.

    Thats weird. I forgot to mentioned that I also went to a 9" and my stock drive shaft still fit. I wonder what the difference was....
