Hey Gang I've been away doing many things besides racing my Comet. One of them is putting on an event that has really been a fantastic time, The Eagle Field Runway Drags! We have 2 events a year at Eagle Field, a historical site that trained many a WWII pilot, located in Firebaugh near Los Banos CA (I5 and hwy152). The events welcome '73 and earlier vehicles (later Mavs and Comets welcome) which race all day with Flag Starts and no times, good old fashion "Grude Racing". All proceeds benefit and help preserve Eagle Field and you'll have a great time joining in the fun. I will worn you that all surfaces are dirt besides the Runway we race on but search YouTube and you'll see it hasn't stopped many from racing and showing some really nice stuff. Speaking of showing, spectators who drive a period correct car are allowed in the Show and Shine area (spaces limited, 1st come 1st serve) at no extra charge! Admission is $15 and for another $20 (I'll offer a special to board members who PM me) Race all day with racers getting around 7 runs avg. Check out eaglefielddrags.com for more info or contact me @ 559 351 3537. Rocky Phillips
