I've been thinking that a ecoboost v6 would be perfect for a maverick especially one from a f150 when you think about power and mpg but where would I find one? is there a manual trans that will fit? and of course what would the price be... just trying to figure a way to make it so I can afford to drive my car regularly...

I think it would fit if you did a front suspension/steering conversion to eliminate the shock towers.

I understand they are a bit wider even than a 351.

Ford Racing sells them brand new, or any higher end auto wreckers could find you one, or even EBay. As for the transmission, I have no idea. With the money you'd spend, you could buy a newer car that gets better gas mileage.

There was a whole "kit" on E-Bay a few months back from a new truck with 12 miles on it, prolly damaged in transit. Had the engine, trans, wiring, pedals, ECM, etc for (I think) $7200. After watching the Youtube vids on how Ford "proved" this engine, that would be a bargain deal!

the time and cost involved I dont think it would really be worth it,.... but it would be pretty cool. I know we love the ecoboost in our truck!(y)

It would be cool to have a engine that can perform like that one in my maverick...
