Hey everyone, I just want to run this by to see other opinions. My 77 Comet with a 250auto is cuting out and being a witch to start at times. The engine starts and you put vehicle into gear, drive for a max of 4 min. and the the power drops off, the dash lights don't come on right away, the odd backfire, and then nothing. The car won't start for about a minute, then it's fine and runs good. Possible...fuel filter at carb? piece of plastic floating in tank cutting of sraining? mechanical fuelpump problem? What do you guys think? My wife is giving me the old stink eye over this. Max
mine did that once,lights and everything would quit working, about 2 min. and everything would come back on, work a few min. and repeat, was a fusible link by the voltage reg. I found it by touching the wires, the bad wire was hot . went to auto store and boght a fusible link
