Hi I'm rebuilding my 250 engine but I'm limited on specs..those anyone know where I can get general specs, torque tightening specs, crank specs, valve specs, piston ring and cylinder specs and camshaft specs...I have some of tehm already but I would like to re assure myself thanks a lot
I have my chiltons manual but its still limited on certain specs..and it doesnt provide any cam specs
I used these specs http://www.classicinlines.com/SmallSixSpecs.asp and haynes ford smallblock book as my guide
I went through mine, I didn't machine anything or overhaul too crazy though. I replaced with stock size piston rings, new valves/lifters/ and gaskets.
K..i wasnt able to find a haynes manual on a small block 250 u know where i might be able to find one?or maybe some online references
buddy I'm not sure if theres much if any books/guides for the ford small block six cylinder, but there might be. I used a Haynes small block windsor v8 book as a quick reference for some things. Someone there may have a complete spec sheet. good luck with the build
I printed out the specs and I'm gonna compare them with what I have..very important information there..thanks a lot ill be posting pics of my progress pretty soon
Those two heads that Gene mentioned do have a removable intake manifold. I thought those were specs for a stock 250, but they may have just included that as I would imagine the rest of the specs wouldn't change.
