I was just pondering the exhaust on my mav. its a 74 4 door, i have the 302 with hooker headers, a custom h-pipe and a 22" glass pack on each pipe into a 3.5" angle cut tip, it sounds pretty wicked IMHO. I was curious and i thought maybe somebody could help me, since i am switching to the 70 2dr if i was to run as close to the same exhaust setup as possible would it sound much different? would the extra length in the pipe for my 4door change the sound significantly?? i actually plann on running the hooker headers possibly into the same h-pipe *depending on its condition* and then probably back to a bend before the rear wheels probably still through the 3.5" tips, so its gonna sound pretty loud anyway
The exhaust on your 4 door would be quieter than on a two door, but you probably won't notice much difference. The more length the exhaust goes through, the quieter it gets. -Corbin
