What would you guys recommend for a stock 250. It has some headers on it though. Still has the 1bbl carb on it. Everything else is stock. We want to dump the exhaust before the rear axle if that if helps....Just wanna know what the best size diameter pipe to use.

    Thanks

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    V8 swap :D

Stick to 2-2.5", I would dump it after the rear end.

1-3/4" if going with dual exhaust, 2-1/4" if single exhaust...dump it after the axle

2 1/4 using mandrel bent tubing.

    2.5 if using compression bends

then rejet the carb and dial in the timing(not necessarily in that order) after you add an aftermarket muffler and free flowing air cleaner.
