Can anyone tell me the specs of the factory 302 that came in 73 grabbers? Any info will help. I am wondering about the heads that ran as well.

140 bhp, same bore and stroke as any other 302, compression is around 8:1 (hense the loss of hp), head cc's are around 64 or so.

btw, if you could... please send me your door tag info for the '73 Grabber registry :Handshake

Are the heads worth rebuilding with a higher cc chamber? Anyone heard of rebuilding these to flow as well as other aftermarket cast heads? Probably just as cheap to go with entry level aluminum heads for a grand?

You can get 'aftermarket' results with a set of 351w heads from 69-73. Probably cost just as much to do the mods though, unless you find a deal on heads already professionally worked. You could come out cheap if you have the ability to do your own work. There are no stock 302 heads that I know of with as much potential.
