    I have that shifter in my 70 mav and I don't like it at all I plan to put a quicksilver also made by b&m ,ive had them in the past and really seem to be a lot better shifter .the z-gate was in my car when I bought it,if I had another shifter I would sell the z-gate to ya cheap

    I would buy the shifter from ya. I think I might go with the starshifter instead. Do I really need the hump? I looked through the installation instructions and Couldn't see anything else other than just drilling holes for the cable. Where can I get a hump for it?

    There is one on ebay right now. It is new and the price is $135 with free shipping. Cheaper then going through Summit.

    Misunderstood you, thought you were talking about a hump for sale. Is anyone running the star shifter? I like the ratchet feature, plus still about $150

    No...you do not need the hump. That shifter can be mounted ANYWHERE as long as the cable reaches the trans.
