Hey that blue Maverick looks like mine, wait a minute it is mine :) Had a good day except for the fact that they told me if I ran under 11.49 they were going to kick me off of the track(no roll bar) anyhow I snuck a 11.47 in once the rest of the day I short shifted and ran 11.62. My first competition run I dialed a 11.62 got a .032 light and ran a 11.620 was lucky on that one.

The turn out is the biggest All Ford Meet besides Knotts Berry Farm showing on this side of the country that I know about, it is sponsored in part by Dearborn Classics, there was actually 4 cars shows supposedly, one for the cars that Dearborn sells parts for, then one for the other cars (newer generation Mustangs and such) a show for Roush cars and one for Focus's.

I entered the car show last year and they gladly took my money but had no class for my car and lots of people voted for me, a week later I got a phone call from Dearborn owner and he said they had a trophy for me :) but I have yet to receive it  Last year my car was stock this year it was race ready, hmmmm what to do race or show I didnt even have to think about that one

One of these days my Maverick will run in the 11's oh I long for the day...
Really I would settle for a 12 second street car. That would be just fine by me. 12 second in the quarter will take out almost any car on the roads around where I live. hahaha

I was at that show too. Saw the Mavericks run several times each. I will have to post a picture of the black Maverick with the early fox bodied Mustang hood scoop.

We chuckled that the fastest car on the field was a Pinto, we saw him run a 9.11.
