So now I have antifreeze dripping onto the passenger floor so the heater core is shot, right? Well I haven't used my heater since, ohhh, 2002 so I don't care if it works or not. Is there anyway I can just bypass it? 1970 Ford Maverick currently I-6 200 soon to swap in a 302.

    Thanks,
    RudyD

yes ur heater core is shot. what i did with my 71 before it went to v/8 i too an cut the hoses were they go into the fire wall, and put a 90 degree elbow on the two ends alog with hose clamps. it got me thru 2 yrs. before my engine swap.

awwwww just change the core. it is pretty simple if your car is a non a/c car. but like these guys said... capping off the hoses will stop the leak. i have done it in a pinch. it always seems to happen when i need the heater.
