I need a freeze plug for a 71 200, 1&49/64 diameter. Can't seem to find anyone around here that stocks them or can get them unless I want to buy a whole box. I only need 1, can anyone help?
Ray, if you "believe Allen is right" why didn't you just tell ...74bossmav...you believe he is wrong...why talk to him like he is a ...third party... ......
Is there a...purpose...to this post??? Seems to me like I...was...speaking to...74bossmav...telling what I...believe. It doesn't mean I am right...just my opinion.
1&49/64 is 1.765 inches---- 15 thousanths over 1& 3/4. I'd say we are talking about the same thing wouldn't you.
Mathamaticly speaking, you guys beleive anything Yes 74bossmav, close enough. Good luck installing it too.
Well, for those of us that have actually installed a freeze plug before, we know that a freeze plug has to be slightly larger (by probably about 15 thousandths) than the hole it is going into, otherwise it ain't gonna stay...GENE!!!
probably wouldnt hurt to invest in the whole set. if one rusted out im sur the others are on there way too. i think classicinlines sell a set but i cant imagine local parts stors not having them. try napa, they usually have everything
I worked at an automotive engine machine shop for about a year (about 20 years ago). Probably installed at least 100 per week in heads and blocks. I really liked that job too...just disliked the boss. I can't believe he's still in business but he is.
