the wiring never worked on my old tank though.
What wiring would i need to run from the sending unit on the fuel cell to a new gauge?
And would I just plug the return line to the tank?

Also on the ignition module has anyone else had this problem:hmmm:

There was only one of the two connectors on the replacement that had the wiring in the car, what does the other wiring on the module run to?

The fuel sender and gauge have to be matched. If you bought it with a Ford style sender you can wire it into your stock gauge but you have to be more specific than "the old wiring never worked".
One plug goes to the harness and the other plug goes to the distributor.
